Get to Know Me

Hi, my name is Abhi. I’ve studied computer science and I focus my energy on work that has purpose. The areas that matter most to me are health, education and the environment. In health, I’ve worked with optometrists and paramedics. In education, I believe deeply in its power to create lasting change.

One of my favourite reminders comes from Chadwick Boseman—“Everything that you fought for was not for yourself. It was for those who come after you.” I carry that mindset into everything I do. I feel the same way about sustainability. Leaving behind a clean and liveable planet for the next generation means they can focus on what truly matters, rather than being burdened by problems we could have solved. I’m always open to understanding different perspectives, but I never want to work on something that lacks genuine impact.

I set myself big challenges. They’re not always easy to achieve, and yes—I do get scared when starting new things or meeting new people. Sometimes I worry I won’t do well. When people use complex language, I might not understand right away and I won’t always admit it on the spot—but I will go away, learn it, and come back stronger. I fail more often than I pass, but I keep going until I succeed. I make sure I have the time to push forward. I don’t claim to know everything or to have complete experience, but if the purpose is there, I’ll commit, I’ll build towards it, and I’ll learn whatever tools are needed to get there.

I love problem-solving, helping people, and working in environments built on respect and kindness. Through my experience—especially in FinTech—I’ve learned patience and adaptability. I’ve taught older people how to use computers, adjusted my teaching style to suit different learners, and known when to repeat something and when to move forward. I believe that’s a skill more people need.

Outside of work, I train in MMA and go to the gym. I spend a lot of time with my family, which keeps me grounded. I believe in presence—being fully there in the moment—and in freedom of thinking. I follow the signal-to-noise principle, keeping my focus on the things that truly matter and blocking out distractions. That can mean turning down meetings where I can’t add value, or engineering small improvements, like an Outlook inbox rule, to make life more efficient.

At the heart of it, I’m here to work on what matters, solve meaningful problems, and treat everyone with respect and kindness.
